The images correspond to the model in the prototype phase, the PAL-V One. In the beginning of 2017 the images of the PAL-V Liberty, the commercial version, will be unveiled by the brand. For the design of the PAL-V Liberty our design team partnered with a leading Italian design agency.
Since 1999 the company has been developing, patenting and proving basic technologies for the launch of a flying car. This led to the flight testing of its proof of concept vehicle, the PALV ONE, more than 4 years ago. Since then it has been silently but diligently working on the commercial version. PAL-V now employs over 50 people and is preparing for the first preproduction series. It is planning to reveal the physical model of the PAL-V Liberty in the beginning of next year. Unlike all others, from the start the company has been focused on creating a product within existing regulations.
Top Gear once coined the phrase “the world’s first plausible flying car”.
The PAL-V Liberty is a gyroplane while flying and a car while driving. A gyroplane is the most easiest aircraft type to learn to fly, which makes becoming a pilot for a lot of people reachable again. It has a flight range of about 350-400 kilometers and a driving range exceeding 1000 kilometers. Due to the tilting system, the PAL-V will be a thrill to drive and feel more like a motorcycle when taking a corner. The PAL-V will only require a short airstrip for take-off, the take-off roll is only 165m. You do not have to worry about driving around, since it is only 4m long, which makes it very practical for everyday use. It is even low enough to park it in your garage.
Option to Purchase contracts for the special PAL-V Liberty Limited Pioneer Edition, which is anticipated to cost €499,000,-, are currently available in very limited quantities. A unique vehicle of which only 90 will become available worldwide of which 45 for Europe. Following the deliveries of the PAL-V Liberty Limited Pioneer edition PAL-V will commence delivery of the PAL-V Liberty Sports Edition, which will cost €299,000,-.
