CAV GT
Cape Advanced Vehicles was founded in 1999 to produce Ford GT40 replicas in South Africa. The company name honours Ford Advanced Vehicles which was founded in 1963 – the manufacturers of the original GT40 racing cars.
CAV vehicles feature a Stainless Steel monocoque chassis and body panels moulded from the original GT40. The vehicle performance is substantially improved together with racing suspension design and optimised driver ergonomics. Furthermore, the CAV interior is said to be among the nicest of any GT40. The result is a user-friendly, high-performance classic experience.
Engines are bespoke from Ford Performance and CAV can also accommodate the latest Modular Coyote engines for truly modern performance.
CAV is a niche manufacturer which allows for complete customisation of your GT40 build. Their GT40 is produced in limited numbers and they continue to be among the more exclusive replicars built today.
