Kerv specs and price
Kerv Automotive is a young and innovative Belgian company developing a unique and exciting tilting, three-wheeled vehicle that offers a new level of driving dynamics that most sports cars simply can’t deliver. Inspired by motorsport and driving as a hobby, they have shattered the existing confines of driving pleasure using a light twin-seat, lean vehicle philosophy. Float the road with balanced cornering like on a motorbike, but from behind the wheel of a luxurious and comfortable cockpit.
The tilting cabin is controlled by a hydraulic system that alleviates any lateral force, ensuring that you glide seamlessly into every corner and experience a new level of driving dynamics that conventional sports cars simply can’t deliver. The tilting system has been designed for a maximum tilt angle of 45 degrees at both sides with a maximum tilt speed of 90 degrees per second. The rear wheel steering system offers higher stability at high speeds and improved agility and smaller turning circle at low speeds.
The first prototypes of the Kerv are developed with a combustion engine. Now, development has also begun for an EV drivetrain, based on potential performance. The drivetrain is situated in the rear section and drives the rear wheels. Besides the tilting cabin, the Kerv includes features like air conditioning, cruise control, keyless access, a rear-view camera, integrated smartphone connectivity, a fully digital dashboard as well as several removable roof options.
Start of production is currently planned for 2023 with an estimated price of 45.000€.
