Praga R1
The Praga R1 is a stunning Barchetta made by the Czech automobile company Praga Racing. The most standout features of the R1 are its full carbon fiber monocoque chassis and a low running cost. The car resembles quite a bit to an F1 car which is also the prime reason for its extremely low aerodynamic drag coefficient and high downforce.
The aerodynamics of the Praga R1 has been substantially improved in the new version, with adjustments in the underfloor to optimize the aerodynamic balance. Due to constant improvement using advanced CFD, downforce is increased and drag is reduced, the praga R1 is capable of generating about 3G of lateral force in the corners.
The power plant is a Renault-Alpine F4R Formula 2.0 that pushes out anywhere 365bhp@6900rpm and 395 Nm of torque. The car is probably the lightest Barchetta available right now and weighs only 643kgs.
The Praga is intended to be operated by a single person, so a full crew of mechanics isn't necessary.
The R1 has won several racing competitions, In 2020 he has won 7 of the nine races held in the Britcar Endurance series.
Praga R1 price: $159,000 approx.
