ACR Stryker
The Australian company ACR industries and their project Stryker are a relatively newer entrant in the affordable sports car niche, the Stryker is based on a modern interpretation of the iconic Shelby Cobra combining performance with reliability and comfort. The car is available in a soft-top or a removable hardtop version. It is designed to accept all the mechanicals including the engine, suspension, and even the dashboard from Ford FG Falcon XR8, and can be assembled with basic tools and knowledge.
The ACR Stryker is based on a unique computer designed aluminum monocoque chassis with 16 individually hand-laid fiberglass body panels. ACR is supplying the soft top version with body and chassis (including doors, bonnet, and boot lid) at $25000 (€21,260) and the hard-top version with the same parts for $28,000 (€23,811).
