Delage D12 Specs and price
The French luxury automobile company was founded in 1905 by Louis Delage and started its production of cars by a single cylinder engine car and then gradually moved to four and six cylinder cars. Delage automobiles bagged victories in several racing competitions and made a name for itself. The company was taken over by Delahaye in 1935 but maintained its original heritage. Depressed financial conditions after the WW2 and the government taxes on engine above 2000cc forced the Delage automobiles to cease its production. Nowadays, finely maintained Delage classic cars costs around millions of dollars.
The company was bought back to life in November 2019. A hybrid supercar D12 is planned to mark the re-emergence of the brand in the market, the D12 is a hybrid supercar powered by a mid-positioned 7.6l V12 that generates 900hp coupled with electric motors generating 330hp, combined together the car has 1230hp mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Weighing at only 1400kg, the car takes its styling clues from F1 cars and fighter jets. As a low volume car brand, only 30 Delage D12 are planned to be produced.
