Sam Cree
Sam is an urban trike designed by the Swiss company Cree.
It's an urban trike with two tandem seats.
Its design dates back to 1994 with the company SMH Volkswagen AG / SMH Automobile AG. This was partially taken over by Daimler AG to convert it into MCC (Micro Compact Car). This is the start of the Smart brand.
But some of its best workers left the company and formed Cree in 1996. It took 4 years to design the Sam Cree. Initially, 90 prototypes were made to develop this car. So this low-production car has a great design process and we can say that it has a common origin to the Smart.
This visionary car is currently being sold in Europe and the United States.
It has a range between 80-100 kilometers. It's equipped with an electronically controlled smart charging system. In this way, it charges 40% of the battery in one hour, while the entire battery is charged in five hours.
The unconventional appearance of the car shows that mobility can have a different dimension.
The company is committed to V2G technology. In this way, cars can also serve as energy sources. For example, to meet the energy needs of the home. The Vehicle to Grid System (V2G) consists of a bi-directional charging unit and an energy management system that can handle off-grid renewable energy sources such as solar panels and wind turbines.
Sam Cree price: $ 12.000, ( 10.700€ approx.)
