Arash AF10
Due to the slim cabin, you might argue that the AF10 has more spacecraft DNA than a car.
This version is equipped with a 6.2 V8 engine that generates 900bhp and the chilling figure of 1200 Nm of torque. There is another version, a hybrid that adds four electric motors , each one with a gearbox. These four electric motors generate an additional 1180hp.
The petrol engine is a v8 with a compact supercharger mounted inside its v cavity. No need for a large surface mounted pump – it all sits low and cools itself well with a built in charge cooler. This engine again is simplified and lightened by using 2 valves per piston – makes the head size compact. All rotating parts are below your waist when seated in the car – crank, piston, gearbox bits, clutch. So the driving sensation is similar to that of a light, high-powered kart.
The 0-100km/h acceleration time of the new AF10 is only 2.8 seconds, which is impressive. After all, it is four-wheel drive.
The chassis is made of carbon fiber reinforced. Using T1000 carbon fiber and aramid. It is composed of 13 different pieces of carbon carbon fiber and aluminum honeycomb sandwich panels. It is very strong, light and hard. The torsional stiffness exceeds 60,000Nm.
