Growler M1161
The Growler M1161 is an transportable light attack vehicle, designed for use with the V-22 tilt-rotor aircraft.
The Growler was initially developed by the American Growler in 1999 when the Marine Corps sought a vehicle that could be transported by the V-22 Osprey. The M1161 and M1163 are the only tactical vehicles certified to fly in the V-22 aircraft. The M1161 Growler performs multiple functions of a light utility vehicle, a light strike vehicle and a fast attack vehicle, and is smaller than most international vehicles with the same function.
It is equipped with a 2.8 turbo-diesel engine developed by Navistar Defense, with 132bhp and 311Nm. Growler M1161 is street legal. There're available for civil sale from March 2019.
