Cyan P1800
Volvo P1800 Cyan is based on the '64 Volvo P1800, but high-strength steel and carbon fiber is used to significantly improve the original structure of the car, both on the chassis and on the bodywork.
There is no driver assistance device to distort the driving experience, which means there is no brake booster, stability control or ABS. The Volvo P1800 body has been modified to accommodate a wider track, and larger wheels.
The 2.0 turbocharged four-cylinder engine is based on the same engine as the world champion Volvo S60 TC1 racing car. It can produce 420 hp and 455Nm of torque. The five-speed custom Holinger gearbox was chosen to carry the mechanical feel of the original Volvo P1800, but with higher gear shift accuracy and the ability to handle increased torque.
The original Volvo P1800 active rear axle was replaced by an independent rear suspension engineered in cyan, fitting a custom made torque-biased limited-slip differential. The fully adjustable front and rear suspension uses custom lightweight components, including aluminum uprights, double wishbone and two-way adjustable dampers with cyan hydraulic system. The car is fitted with 4-piston calipers with 362mm steel discs.
