Covini C6W
The Covini C6W is a sport car made in Italy. The car was inspired by the Tyrrell P34, which had two pairs of smaller front wheels, a principle that applies to the C6W. An extra set of wheels effectively doubles the contact area of the front tires, which improves grip. More grip turns into faster turns and stability during turns.
This famous project started in 1974, but was abandoned shortly after, and was dormant in the 1980s due to lack of capital. In 2003, the project was restarted and the C6W was shown in prototype form in 2004. The following year it debuted at the International Auto Salon showing some improvements, with a limited production run of 6-8 units per year. The project was stopped in 2016, but has recently returned to production only on demand.
Covini C6W is driven by a 4.2 V8 engine tuned to produce over 500hp. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox or via a single-clutch paddle-shift automatic gearbox. Your choice.
