Mev Exocet
The MEV Exocet is based on the Mazda Miata and features a high power-to-weight ratio.
The MEV Exocet is a low-cost, easy-to-assemble kit car. Customers simply remove the MX5 monocoque and replace it with an Exocet chassis, without removing the engine and all associated parts. With its exoskeleton chassis and lightweight grp panels, the Exocet has a vastly improved power-to-weight ratio, as the MX5 is 50% heavier. The Miata's bodywork can be removed in about 4 hours, ready to ride on the MEV chassis, without removing the engine, differential or transmission or suspension.
Exocet kit features a lightweight tubular full triangular space frame chassis, full body panels and all necessary brackets, clamps and screws.
You can choose from 1.6 115 bhp or 1.8 131bhp engine from MK1 or MK2 miatas. Miata MX3 packs a 2.0 165 bhp engine.
MEV Exocet Price: The kit is worth £3,800 to retrofit the MX-5 mk1 and mk1, and £4,300 for a donor MX-5 Mk3
