Apex AP-0
The Apex AP-0 is an all-electric supercar built in the UK. It offers a more connected driving experience that embodies sustainability, pioneering technology, cutting-edge design and a strong emotional connection.
The Apex AP-0 features a feet-forward driving position, with feet extended in front of the hips like in a Formula 1. Instead of putting them below the waist in passenger cars like most people do.
The AP-0 features a carbon fibre cabin, body and wheels, making it extremely light and stiff, with a claimed kerb weight of just 1200kgs .Nearly half of that is a floor-mounted lithium-ion battery load with a 90.0 kWh charge that provides a real world range of 515 kms. The structure uses modular spaceframes and a centre spine that links the front and rear. The bodyshell is wrapped around the tub and spine but still exposes the carbonfibre chassis.
The AP-0 features a racing-style pushrod suspension, as well as a tiny 3.7 inches of ground clearance, which Apex claims reduces drag and keeps the AP-0 firmly on the road. The braking system is composed of carbon-ceramic brakes with 6 pot calipers in the front.
Powering Apex AP-0 is a single electric motor making a respectable 649hp and 580Nm of torque. It's capable of sprinting from 0 100 km/h in 2.3 seconds
Apex AP-0 will support Level 3 autonomous. It features a lidar sensor that can create ultra-accurate maps at a range of more than 9,2 meters. Will also has a holographic augmented reality display and an AR race coach to help drivers learn new tracks. It also includes automatic emergency braking and lane-keeping assistance.
Apex AP-0 price: Starting at £150,000
