Gordon Murray T.33
The Cosworth 3.9 V12 engine has been tweaked to deliver 609 bhp and 450Nm of torque in a car that weight under 1100kg. Best of all, 90 percent of its maximum torque is available from 4,500 to 10,500 rpm.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission, with optional automatic paddle shifters. The paddle shifters are cleverly designed so that there is no torque interruption during gear changes. It offers near-instantaneous shift speeds without the need for a heavy multi-clutch.
While not having a ground-effectfan like the T.50, the T.33 still uses ground-effect aerodynamics, including what GMA calls a passive boundary layer control system. Air intakes at the front push under-floor air out of a massive diffuser at the rear. There's a massive roof scoop and an active rear spoiler that deploys automatically or can be set by the driver.
The Gordon Murray T.33 is truly lightweight, thanks to the clever use of carbon fiber and ultra-lightweight aluminum architecture.
Every component is custom built in keeping with GMA's fundamental principle: the beauty of simplicity. Being a low-production car brand, only 100 units will be produced. All of them have been sold at launch.
