IAI Ram Mk3
The IAI Ram Mk3 is a lightly armored Humvee designed by IAI RAMTA. IAI Ram Mk3 was proven in real-world and combat missions around the world, it supports United Nations (UN) peacekeeping operations. With its high off-road capability and a reliable power-to-weight ratio of 29:1, the RAM MK3 excels in a variety of missions as a infantry support vehicle.
Unlike other armored vehicles that place the engine in front of or under the protected cab, the RAM places the entire powerplant at the rear. This achieves easy maintenance and access to the engine, transmission and drivetrain.
The undercarriage of the RAM MK3 consists of two monocoque hulls made of diamond-shaped bulletproof steel, unlike many traditional armored vehicles built on commercial chassis. The result is a fully ballistic, mine-proof cabin that helps improve crew survivability and ballistic protection.
The IAI Ram Mk3 is a military vehicle, there are no civilian versions planned at the moment.
