Undeniably, the Barracuda is the most widely recognized and successful motorbike-powered buggy around the globe. Over a successful run of 12 years, Edge Products has been diligent in taking into account customer feedback and initiating internal enhancements and modifications. These combined efforts have resulted in the birth of the Barracuda Mk II. While it maintains the fundamental performance and handling of the original Barracuda, its durability and reliability have been greatly elevated.
The main modifications in the Barracuda Mk II are featured in the rear suspension system and the front upper arms and uprights. The first-generation Barracuda's PIRCV rear suspension has been upgraded into the more robust CV2 unit, which was initially engineered for the X2 buggy. It boasts stronger arms and driveline along with an expanded selection of brake options. Additionally, the CV2 reverse now features an electric reverse.
On the chassis side, the Barracuda Mk II features a machined hip frame to simplify construction, several structural improvements and a large capacity aluminum fuel tank.
Barracuda's front upper control arms have been replaced with a two-piece design that is easier to manufacture and offers more adjustability. These work in tandem with taller uprights with twin-piston XVS calipers and large rotors. The Barracuda's front suspension is now fully interchangeable with her X2 buggy.
