The CN group is a motorsport category introduced by the FIA in the early 1990s based off the SR2 prototype category. This category was included in the FIA ISRS championship in 1998 underneath SR1 and SR2 classes. The CM group is a non-FIA category closely related to the FIA group. Many car manufacturers develop vehicles for this category under FIA regulations, but hese cars are mixed into many of other categories with similar regulations. FIA CN class regulations
FIA CN class regulations are very opened and free, so car brands can offer a wide variety of different solutions. These cars must to be two-seater, have a six-speed transmission and can be fitted with engines between 1.000cc and 3.000cc with varying ballast, and with a maximum of six cylinders.

There are three different versions of this two-seater race car. Two of them have a 1.6 Turbo engine that provides 280 hp, for the CN version, and 400hp for the S version. The most powered version uses a 650 hp V8 engine. The design goal of the Wolf GB08 Tornado is to replace the Wolf GB08 Honda. It's the first CN2 with built-in carbon fiber, and it has won more than 80 competitions since its debut on April 25, 2010.

ADR3 is a FIA group CN sport prototype engineered for Endurance competitions. ADR3 has a lightweight tubular space frame chassis with removable forward facing protection bars and hand protection tubes. It's fitted with a Honda K20 engine that provides 250hp. The body is made entirely in carbon-fiber.

It is also used in hill climbing competitions.
These cars are used in a lot of competitions. For example, in Europe they race chiefly in V de V, but there are many other racing categories like Master Tricolore Prototipi, Trophee Tourisme Endurance Free Proto, Belcar Endurance, Dutch Supercar Challenge and Ultimate Cup Series.
In USA, they're eligible for Sports Car Club of America’s P1 and P2 class, NASA’s Super Unlimited, FARA USA’s FP-2 class. They can also race in numerous Endurance series in different countries like Brazil or South Africa. They have specific categories in competitions like Asian Le Mans Series or Australian Prototype Series
