Car brands of the futureZoox
Zoox designed a fully functional, electric, autonomous vehicle that is designed for dense, urban environments. Zoox showcase a driving, purpose built robotaxi capable of operating up to 75 miles per hour (about 120km/h). Since its inception in 2014, Zoox has combined artificial intelligence, robotics, vehicle design, and sustainable energy to bring its vision of reinventing personal transportation to life — making the future safer, cleaner, and more enjoyable for everyone.
Zoox offers bidirectional driving capabilities and four-wheel steering, which enables maneuvering through compact spaces and changing directions without the need to reverse. The vehicle design has more than 100 safety innovations not featured in conventional cars, including a novel airbag system for bidirectional vehicles and carriage seating that envelops passengers, which is equal to five-star crash safety protections for all four seats. The vehicles utilize a unique sensor architecture of cameras, radar, and LIDAR to obtain an unrivaled 270-degree field of view on all four corners of the vehicle, eliminating typical blind spots and allowing the vehicle to consistently track objects next to and behind it, including pedestrians, bicyclists, and other road users. Roborace
Roborace is a totally different concept, while most technological applications are oriented to smart cities and robotaxies, Roborace applies technology to create fully autonomous racing vehicles.
DevBot 2.0 is a custom racing platform specially developed by Roborace for Season Beta. The hardware is centrally managed, and each team has the same one, which means that the only difference is the AI driver software that the team develops for the racing. DevBot 2.0 is fully electric and runs on the Nvidia DRIVE platform in autonomous mode. It can be driven by humans or artificial intelligence drivers, which means we can explore the relationship between humans and machines to obtain assistive and autonomous technologies.
Navya Self-Driving Shuttle
The self-driving shuttle developed by Navya serves cities and private places by bringing more mobility. The shuttle conceived by Navya is a smart, innovative, effective and clean mobile solution.
It has the capacity to transport 15 people, including people with reduced mobility. Therefore, it doesn't have steering wheels or pedals, since it's fully autonomous. This allows you to make the most of the interior space. It has several totally reliable detection systems. It uses data obtained from cameras, Lidar sensors, GPS RTK, Inertial measurement units and odometry to combine them and obtain a data map that will be improved thanks to machine learning. Easy Mile EZ10
Easy Mile is another vehicle that "looks to the future" and adapts to the changes that society is going to experience, offering sustainable and connected urban mobility solutions. As we can see, they are not cars based on aesthetics or driving experience, but rather on offering real mobility solutions for society. It is a real engineering challenge, since Easy Mile manages to operate safely in known environments, since it's a level 4 autonomous vehicle, supported by various security and detection systems.
Nuro R2
Nuro is an autonomous vehicle designed for the delivery of goods, a truly innovative concept with the use of the most advanced technology. With this we really see that we can develop different vehicles for different very specific tasks. It has already been tested in real environments and has successfully performed simulated deliveries. The small vehicle lacks a driver, it has compartments that will open once the addressee of the order receives it.
