Local Motors is a very innovative brand, with its 3d printed cars, or its disruptive business model, for example with their open-source cars using microfactories. Also, Local Motors was very active in the car design community. So, it's a true pioneer company located in Arizona.

Now, you can be the owner of this great company, or at least, have a large part of its assets.

Local Motors assets are being liquidated. The whole deal is broken down into lots sold to the highest bidder, and yes, that includes his manufacturing equipment, their prototypes, and a couple of Rally Fighters.

And their 3D printed cars: Strati and Swim, both are very unique pieces of history that should probably be in a museum. There are also 13 Local Motors Olli shuttles.
