CN Class Cars Manufacturers

CN Class manufacturers, and other sport prototypes.

​The CN group is a motorsport category introduced by the FIA ​​in the early 1990s based on the SR2 prototype category. This category was included in the FIA ISRS championship in 1998 underneath SR1 and SR2 classes. The CN group is a non-FIA category closely related to the FIA group.

Many car manufacturers develop vehicles for this category under FIA regulations, but these cars are mixed into many other categories with similar regulations.

Our intention is to make a selection, in different posts, of the CN sport prototypes, either for competition or to enjoy the best cars for track-day

Aquila CR1

The Aquila CR1 is a V8 powered sport prototype engineered for racing, track events, track days and racing schools. Aquila CR1 has a low weight of 900kg, a very low center of gravity and a low frontal area. In addition to this, it has a really rigid chassis

The Aquila CR1 chassis has undergone more than four seasons of continuous racing development. This car was accepted by numerous championships across Europe. 

There are four versions of the car. The most affordable version that is fitted with a DOHC 32-valve 4-liter engine, and is priced at € 129,000. 

The other three options use engines from the Corvette. So, they have LS1, LS3 and LS7 engines and prices range from € 158,000 to € 165,000

Funyo SP 05 EVO

The Funyo SP-05 EVO is a French sports prototype fitted with a 230hp engine from the Peugeot 308GTI. It reaches a top speed of 250km / h, and achieves 100km / h in 2.4 seconds. It has a tubular chassis with aluminum panels. It weighs only 670 kilograms, which, thanks to its dimensions, aerodynamics and low center of gravity make it a really fast car on the track.

Srof S6

​The Srof S6 is a hungarian racing car with carbon chassis, designed especially for speed races and hill climb racing. It has been engineered with the most modern technical solutions and innovations. Power comes from a Renault F4 RS 2l engine offering drivers 200 bhp in a sport prototype that still weighs just 530kg.

MetalMoro MRX

The MetalMoro MRX is a fantastic sport prototype developed in Brazil. It has a great reputation and is widely recognized in the country. It's a car designed to be affordable and fast, and can be assembled with a variety of engines. The chassis was redesigned in 2016 to offer greater rigidity, durability and safety.

PRC WPR 67 Turbo

PRC is a racing car brand from Austria, they build high-quality sports prototypes cars and hillclimb racing cars. The PRC WPR 67 Turbo is one of its four models. It presents an incredible power-to-weight ratio, with only 680kgs this CN vehicle has an Audi 2.0 engine with a power of 530hp. In addition, it has incredible geometry and fantastic weight balance, resulting in a balanced and responsive car on the track. This car is developed to run medium endurance races of up to six hours.
